PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which stably supports movable equipment in a housing, minimizes a reduction in rigidity due to an aperture, and reduces a distance between a slot and movable equipment without being influenced by a frame part even when the movable equipment is accommodated in a housing equipped with the frame part which faces back from the periphery of its front wall having the slot, and to provide a display device. SOLUTION: The electronic device has a housing 1 having a slot 1a for a recording medium A on its front wall 13 and an aperture 14 opening outward on its bottom wall 11a, and movable equipment 2 which is mounted in the aperture 14 of the housing 1. A vertically-long hole 16 is provided in a movable guide plate 15 in the housing 1. A pivot 25, which is inserted into the long hole 16, is provided in the movable equipment 2.
