PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a cap, which improves appearance, simplifies a mold structure, and can be mounted even at a position with a curved surface varied in a large degree. SOLUTION: An engagement hole 12 is formed at the peripheral part 11 of an opening 7 of an interior member 1, a projection 13 is formed in the cap 8, the intermediate part in the projecting direction of the projection 13 is swelled and constitutes an engaging part 14 engaging with the engagement hole 12, the length in the swelling direction of the engaging part 14 is set longer than the length of the engagement hole 12, the engaging part 14 is inserted into the engagement hole 12 while at least one of the engagement hole 12 and the engaging part 14 elastically deforms, at least one of them is elastically restored and the engaging part 14 engages with the engagement hole 12, the cap 8 is thereby held by the interior member 1 and becomes a provisionally held state, and the cap 8 is configured to be rockingly openable/closable from the provisionally held state.
