PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing apparatus for completely acquiring contents which have not been recorded in a recording medium, through a network. SOLUTION: When free space of a local storage 15 becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold while additional contents are downloaded by executing "BD-LIVE" function, a screen for deleting old contents is displayed on a display. When a user deletes the old contents and the free space of the local storage 15 becomes equal to or larger than the threshold, the screen displayed on a display D is automatically erased.
