The invention relates to a colouring composition for keratinous fibres for colorations that have shine and care properties. This colouring composition comprises, in a cosmetic vehicle, not only a colouring component but also a care combination comprising at least one cationized protein hydrolysate and at least one active plant extract. The combination in question is preferably the combination of a cationized casein hydrolysate and an active extract from aloe vera. The addition of this care combination proves to be particularly advantageous in oxidative colouring compositions. The invention further relates to the use of the said composition for improving the moisture content and the care condition, more particularly shine and wet combability, of keratin-type fibres, more particularly human hair, when colouring.
