<p>The cylindrical casting core (1) for arrangement in a casting mold for the production of a mold hollow area within a casting workpiece, where the casting core is formed as a part of the total mold and hollow cavities (6) are arranged in the casting core. The hollow cavities are formed in the casting core with a triangular cross-section with rounded edges. The hollow cavities extend itself in longitudinal direction of the casting core. The hollow area is connected along its longitudinal direction with a slit-shaped channel (7).
