PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel burner for burning fine powder coal (solid fuel) capable of reducing an NOx generation amount by suppressing a high-temperature oxygen remaining area formed around the periphery of flame. SOLUTION: In the fuel burner 21 of a burner 20 for putting the fine powder coal and air into a furnace of a boiler for burning the fine powder coal and burning them, a guide 24 for decreasing an angle α in the flowing direction toward a flow passage cross-sectional center part is provided at an edge of a coal primary port 22 which conveys the fine powder coal by primary air and puts it into the furnace.
