The invention relates to a container for mixing and dispensing paint, comprising a container having a lid including a block that extends from one side of the bucket to the other. Upon removal of the block, a tray, along with the lid thereof, can be inserted into the open space, which tray has the same dimensions as the block and can be used to open and close the container. The tray occupies a vertical position in relation to the container and the lower end thereof is bent to prevent same from being removed when the tray is pulled up. The tray comprises holes over the entire structure thereof, allowing the paint to be mixed during constant upward movements and ensuring that, when the tray extends beyond the upper opening in the container, various paint applicators such as rollers, paintbrushes, brushes, trowels and sponges can be loaded with paint when brought into contact with the tray, since the tray is always soaked with paint during the vertical upward movement thereof. In addition, the tray includes a sponge in the lower part thereof, which can be used to obtain a considerable amount of paint since lowering the tray into the container allows the paint to be efficiently removed from the container when the level of paint therein is low, because, when the tray is lifted, the applicators take paint from the sponge which always takes paint from the bottom of the container.
