<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system advantageous for detection of gas leakage. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a casing 1 including a storage chamber 10 for storing a fuel cell, a ventilation section 6 for ventilating the inside of the storage chamber 10, a gas sensor 100m for detecting gas leakage in the storage chamber 10, and a determination section 100 for executing gas leakage determination processing for determining that gas has leaked when the concentration of gas detected by the gas sensor 100m is larger than a reference concentration.
