<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell appropriately controlling drainage volume from a supply gas flow channel and for improving power generation efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes a membrane-electrode assembly 30, a pair of gas diffusion layers 40, 42 pinching the membrane-electrode assembly 30, and a pair of separators 44, 46 pinching the pair of gas diffusion layers 40, 42. At least at one of the pair of separators 44, 46, a supply gas flow channel 52 (a first gas flow channel) with an upstream end communicated with a supply manifold 50 and a downstream end communicated with a drain 70, and an increase-decrease means arranged at a communication part 72 from the supply gas flow channel 52 (the first gas flow channel) to the drain 70 and for increasing or decreasing a flow-channel cross section area at the communication part 72 are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
