<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a hard capsule having improved solubility in water and hardness; and a method for producing the same, wherein the hard capsule contains Hypromellose as a base agent. <P>SOLUTION: The hard capsule contains, in addition to Hypromellose, at least one selected from the group consisting of monosaccharide, disaccharide, and starch, as film components.
