<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus which suppresses noise (flicker) caused by a short-time exposure signal from occurring in the face area, thereby improving a visibility for the face area. <P>SOLUTION: The camera apparatus 1 includes an imaging section 2 which outputs a long-time exposure signal and a short-time exposure signal within one field term. A face detection section 8 detects a face area from an image captured by the imaging section 2. A weighting processing section 12 applies weighting processing to luminance data of the long-time exposure signal using such a weighting constant as to reduce a luminance level of the long-time exposure signal in the detected face area. In the case where the luminance level of the long-time exposure signal, to which weighting processing has been applied, becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined saturation level, an exposure control section 15 then performs exposure control using the long-time exposure signal and the short-time exposure signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
