摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device not giving uncomfortable feeling by delay in control to a driver, preventing a vehicle from becoming unstable by excess of deceleration force even when a road surface friction coefficient decreases, having higher performance than conventional devices and easy of matching in design. <P>SOLUTION: Self-aligning torque generated in front wheels by turning operation of the driver is detected and gear ratio control is performed based on an estimated steering angle which is calculated from the self-aligning torque and a vehicle speed. With this, uncomfortable feeling by delay in control is not given to the driver, the vehicle is prevented from becoming unstable by excess of deceleration force even when a road surface friction coefficient decreases, the performance is high as compared with conventional devices, and matching becomes easy in design. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
