PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of a bypass line for controlling a flow rate of exhaust gas corresponding to a load of a use facility using recovery heat, and facilitate installation even if no installation space is formed in the vicinity of an existing heat source. SOLUTION: This exhaust heat recovery device 6 connected to a branch line 4 branched from a first exhaust line 1 of the heat source 2, recovering heat from exhaust gas of the first exhaust line 1 and discharging the exhaust gas after heat recovery through a second exhaust line 5 separated from the first exhaust line 1 includes: a heat exchanger 9 for heating a heated medium by exhaust gas made to flow in the branch line 4; an air blower 11 sucking exhaust gas from a branch 3 and performing heat exchange with the heat exchanger 9; an adjusting means 12 for adjusting the amount of exhaust gas made to flow in the branch line 4; and a controller 13 for controlling the adjusting means 12 independently of a load of the heat source 2 without adjusting the operation of the heat source 2.
