PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate support device easy to pass through an intermediate support point of a fall preventing wire. SOLUTION: This intermediate support device 10 supports an intermediate part of the fall preventing wire 8 suspended downward from the upside of a steel tower ST. The wire 8 is provided with a safety clip 9 guided by the wire 8 to slidably engage with the wire 8. The intermediate support device 10 includes a body 1; a pair of sheaves 2, 2, and a pair of plate springs 3, 3. One end of the body 1 is fixed to the steel tower ST, and the other end thereof is provided with a groove part 11 opened to receive the wire 8 and the safety click 9. The pair of sheaves 2, 2 are rotatable, and hold the outer peripheral surface of the wire 8 by mutual contours. The pair of sheaves 2, 2 are disposed in the body 11 so that the wire 8 is positioned in the substantially center of the groove part 1. The pair of plate springs 3, 3 separate the pair of sheaves 2, 2 from each other to be returnable when the safety clip 9 passes through the groove part 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
