SAFETY-VENT, AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A safety-vent is provided to increase space utility between a top gap and a security vent and to ensure battery stability. CONSTITUTION: A safety-vent(430) interrupts current flow of a battery under a discontinuous pressure due to a notch(434) formed on a plate. The gas inside a battery is released to the outside by bursting out the notch under the explosion pressure. The notch is spirally formed from the center of the plate.
