APPARATUS, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD, FOR FACILITATING I-WLAN PLMN SELECTION

PURPOSE: An apparatus and an associated method for facilitating i-wlan plmn selection are provided to improve the communication performance by PLMN(Public Land Mobile Network). CONSTITUTION: A memory device(38) stores PLMN list sets(42, 44, 46) which includes the EHPLMN(Equivalent Home Public Land Mobile Network) list. A detector(48) detects I-WLAN(Interworking-Wireless Local Area Network) related PLMN identities. A selector(58) receives a display of detection by the display of the PLMN list set and the detector. The selector permits the selection of the HPLMN(16-1) in the EHPLMN list. In case the EHPLMN list is unable to include EHPLMN, the selector permits a selection for other PLMN list set.
