PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to easily recognize the occurrence of an event by providing an alarm sound to a user when an event happens in the mobile phone. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(100) comprises a touch screen, a low frequency generator(156), and a control unit(180). The low frequency generator generates a low frequency voltage. If an event associated with a terminal operation happens, the control unit controls the driving the low frequency generator for the electric stimulus to a user. The low frequency generator includes a high voltage generation circuit, a low frequency electrode drive circuit and an electrode. |
