A test and measurement device includes a main body 820 having a first axis 850 and an oblique handle 815 having a second axis 855, the handle including a recess for a removable, rechargeable battery pack. The recess includes terminals to engage corresponding contacts on the battery pack: when the battery pack is removed, the terminals are exposed, and when the battery pack is fitted the terminals are covered by the battery pack. The outer housing of the battery pack follows the contours of the handle, and forms a lower part of the handle when the battery pack is inserted. A trigger 830 may be provided in a further recess of the handle for controlling the operation of the device. Voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature, dew point or humidity may be measured. A display is also provided. Also disclosed is a non-contact clamp meter, where the trigger operates the clamp. |
