<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and normally load an ETC card to an ETC vehicle mount device at a toll gate when the vehicle concerned runs on a toll road. <P>SOLUTION: The ETC vehicle mount device is connected to an onboard navigation unit having a vehicle position detection function and a route retrieval function. The device first decides whether the toll road is included in the retrieved route (Step S10). When the toll road is included in the retrieved route, before the vehicle passes through the toll gate, it is checked whether the ETC card is mounted normally on the ETC vehicle mount device each time the vehicle runs for a predetermined distance. When the ETC card is not mounted normally, an alarm to that effect is issued (steps S20-S50). As such, since the alarms are issued for several times, it is a situation such that the ETC card is not mounted normally at the time the vehicle passes through the toll gate is avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
