PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily increase and improve functions of an air conditioner by adding an electric circuit. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner 1 comprising an unit main body 2 suspended from a ceiling space 53 of a building 50 and storing an indoor heat exchanger 11 and a fan, a blowout duct 4 extending to the unit main body 2, and an electric component box 5 mounted on the unit main body 2, a separate suspended box 6 storing the electric circuit is mounted independently from the unit main body 2, the separate suspended box 6 is suspended at a position faced to an access port 55 formed on a ceiling plate 52 of the building 50, and the separate suspended box 6 and the electric component box 5 are connected by wiring.
