PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle box supporting device high in stability in rectilinear travel in the state of an empty car and low in lateral pressure in curvilinear travel in the state of a full car. SOLUTION: A device used in recent years as the axle box supporting device for rolling stock is constituted by combining a coil spring 3 and cylindrical laminated rubber formed by alternately laminating cylindrical rubber 4c and inner plates 4d in a radial direction between an inner metal cylinder 4a and an outer metal cylinder 4b. In this case, the cylindrical laminated rubber with the property that rigidity in the longitudinal direction of a truck is changed by vertical expansion and contraction, is mounted so that the cylindrical rubber 4c is extended following the compression of the coil spring 3 and that support rigidity in the longitudinal direction of the truck is maximized in the state of the empty car. |
