The device (1) has a floating-biological contractor (13) floating in fluid in a container (2) in a normal operation, where floatage of the contractor in the fluid is reduced at a level of the fluid over outflow level of an outlet of the container. Closure units have a closure element (11) releasing an inlet of the container based on a position of the contactor or closing the inlet in a closing position of the element. The closure units are formed such that the closure element closes an inlet opening (8) by moving in an inflow direction.
