PURPOSE: A paper sheet treating apparatus, which can completely treat paper sheets, and a paper sheet treating method thereof are provided to reduce the reading errors of a paper sheet by improving the recognizing precision of the addressee information. CONSTITUTION: A paper sheet treating apparatus comprises a scanner(14), a letter recognition part(22), a discriminating part(21) and a label attaching part(16). The image of the paper sheet is read with the scanner. The letter recognition part recognizes the letter of private information from the image of the paper sheet. If the private information is matched the information set in a database(6), the discriminating part determines that the owner of the information is belonging in to previous user. |
