PURPOSE: A method for detecting genetic toxicity using SOS/umu-test using Salmonella enteric TA1535/pSK1002 freeze-dried fungus is provided to enhance sensitivity and to shorten preculture time. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting genetic toxicity using SOS/umu-test using Salmonella enteric TA1535/pSK1002 freeze-dried fungus comprises: a step of preincubating Salmonella enteric TA1535/pSK1002 freeze-dried fungus; a step of adding the preincubated strain to a sample containing genetically toxic material; and a step of testing color-development.
