<p>An AV stream stored on a recording medium is edited in such a manner as to not conflict with a play-only standard format. When an intermediate portion of a stream file is to be deleted, the original clip AV stream file is divided at a deletion section, and a single ATC is provided for each file. When a play item is to be deleted in an intermediate portion of a playlist, the setting of seamless play with the immediately preceding play item is released in the final play item on the forward side, which is left after deletion is performed, and the setting of seamless play with the immediately preceding play item is released in the clip information file at the beginning on the backward side, which is left after deletion is performed.</p> |
