Obtaining birds having steatosis, comprises: (a) administering at least one dose of probiotic bacteria, where the probiotic bacteria are Lactobacillus fermentumand Lactobacillus spp., to the poultry; and (b) forced overfeeding of the poultry to obtain a steatosis.
