ANTENNA WITH GROUND RESONANCE

PURPOSE: An antenna using a ground resonance is provided to control the capacitance of a capacitor or the length of a ground patch without an additional chip antenna by using a ground surface which functions as the antenna. CONSTITUTION: A patch is formed on a chip antenna(20). A rectangular slot is formed on a substrate(12) to mount the chip antenna. A ground patch(10) includes a pad which is short-circuited with the patch of the chip antenna on the slot with a soldering method. The pad formed on the ground patch is comprised of a dummy ground pad, a feeding pad, and a ground pad in mounting the chip antenna. The dummy ground pad and the ground pad are directly connected to the conductive elements of the substrate. The feeding pad is connected to the conductive elements of the substrate through a feeding line.
