PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing volcanic water for cosmetic material is provided to enhance skin whitening, anti-wrinkle, elasticity and skin care. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing volcanic water for cosmetic material comprises: a step of pulverizing volcanic ash to obtain ash powder; a step of adding purified water, methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, dichloromethane, hexane or mixture thereof; a step of extracting by ultrasonication; and a step of filtering the extract and sterilizing. The ash powder is 50-200 mesh. A cosmetic composition contains 0.001-100 weight% of volcanic water. The cosmetic composition is used in for skin whitening, anti-inflammation, anti-acne or elasticity.
