<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device and its control method, and a program for precisely detecting inputted coordinates. <P>SOLUTION: This coordinate input device is provided with: a plurality of sensor units which are disposed on the periphery of a coordinate input area, and are equipped with a light projecting part for projecting the rays of light to the coordinate input area and a light receiving part for receiving the incoming rays of light; and a plurality of recursive reflecting parts which are disposed on the peripheral part of the coordinate input area for recursively reflecting the incoming rays of light. Then, the coordinates of the pointed position of a pointer are calculated on the basis of light quantity distribution including a light shielding area to be obtained from each of the plurality of sensor units according to an indication from the pointer. In this case, a three-dimensional light shielding detection area relating to the plurality of sensor units is formed like a common three-dimensional stereoscopic shape corresponding to the coordinate input area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
