METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING AN ONLINE DICTIONARY SERVICE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for providing on online dictionary service are provided to automatically check native language based on user terminal setting, thereby improving the convenience. CONSTITUTION: A query analyzer(310) receives query from a user terminal and extracts information about native language of a user, encoding language information of a webpage, search information. A dictionary selection unit(320) selects dictionary data from a dictionary data storage based on the information about native language of a user and encoding language information. A search unit(330) searches the translation data corresponding to the search information from a dictionary data. A search result transmission unit(340) transmits the analyzing data to a user terminal.
