METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF ADAMANTANOL

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an adamantanol class is provided to manufacture the adamantanol class from an adamantane compound without using an expensive carbocation generating compound. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an adamantanol class comprises a step of reacting an adamantane compound inside a mixed solution formed with fuming sulfuric acid and organic nitril, and hydrolyzing the reaction solution. 10~20 mol of fuming sulfuric acid and 1~10 mol of organic nitril is used for 1 mol of adamantane compound. The reaction temperature is 0~60 deg C.
