The invention relates to a machine meant to separate seeds from the pods of any species of peppers. According to the invention, the seed extracting machine comprises a rigid frame whereon there is provided a unit for removing the seeds, comprising a cylinder (10) with active elements (11) which, passing between some spurs (14) mounted on a support (13) entrains the pods from a hopper (9) and removes the seeds from the pods, the resulting material being sent through a tunnel (17) into a separating cylinder (18) covered with a braided wire mesh (19) wherein the separation of seeds out of the pods takes place, the seeds passing through the orifices of the braided wire mesh (19) onto an inclined plane (26) and from here into a seed collector (31), on the frame there being also mounted a vertical panel (27) which prevents the projection onto the ground of the seeds coming out of the separating cylinder (18), the machine being driven by an electric motor (35), a platform (43) for washing the seed removing unit being provided in the hopper (9), while a platform (44) for washing the separating cylinder (18) is provided on the vertical panel (27), the connection to the water source of the washing platforms (43, 44) being carried out by some nozzles (45). The machine also has a system for adjusting its inclination, comprising some supports (46) hingedly mounted on some adjusting pieces (47) which are fixed in various holes cut in the front bearing pivots (3) with some screws (48), the rate of flow into the separating cylinder of the material to be worked is carried out by modifying the inclination of the machine. |
