<p>The invention relates to the utilization of metformin and glyburide for preparing a pharmaceutical composition which comprises a low dose of a combination of metformin and glyburide, containing 250 mg metformin/1.25 mg glyburide in which the particle size distribution is such that utmost 10% of glyburide particles are less than 2 mu m and utmost 10% of the particles are greater than 60 mu m for the first line therapy of the type 2 diabetes, in a drug treatment naive human patient, in which metformin is for administering a daily dosage lower than 750 mg.</p> |
