METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRAFFIC CLASSIFICATION

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for classifying traffic are provided to support more stable network environment by classifying traffic by P2P and non-P2P. CONSTITUTION: An attribute selecting unit(120) excludes the attribute overlapped among the attributes of the collected traffic data from the data collecting unit(110). A learning data generating unit(130) creates learning data for the SVM(Support Vector Machine) and SVDD(Support Vector Data Description) based on the standards attribute. The SVM classifies peer to peer traffic data and rnon-P2P traffic data from the collected traffic data as described above. The traffic classification unit(140) classifies the traffic data.
