PURPOSE: A method for measuring valid underground heat conductivity is provided to measure the distribution of valid underground heat conductivity of an underground heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring valid underground heat conductivity is as follows. The temperature of fluid filled in an underground heat exchanger is heated using a heating cable inserted into the underground heat exchanger. The heating is stopped. The changed temperature is continuously measured using an optical fiber sensor inserted into the underground heat exchanger. The valid underground heat conductivity is measured using the changed temperature data.
