PURPOSE: A battery management system and a driving method thereof are provided to enable more reliable measurement and calculation to be obtained since synchronous signals, which a plurality of battery management systems have, match accurately. CONSTITUTION: A battery management system comprises slave battery management systems(900_S1-900_SN) and master battery management systems(900_M). The slave battery management systems output ready signals if the power is applied. The master battery management systems output synchronous start signals if the ready signals are input. The master battery management systems periodically output synchronous reset signals to the slave battery management systems. The master battery management systems comprise internal timers, which are operated if the ready signals are input. The master battery management systems comprise AND gates, through which the ready signals are input. |
