PURPOSE: A road stud equipped with a lamp and a control method thereof are provided to promote safe driving in the night time by turning on the lamp or changing the color of the light. CONSTITUTION: A road stud comprises a housing, a solar battery(20), a voltage detector(30), a battery(40), a first lamp(50), a second lamp(60), an ambient light sensor(71), and a controller(80). The housing is installed on a road and has a mounting hole on the top thereof. The solar battery is installed in the mounting hole of the housing. The voltage detector detects the voltage converted into electrical energy by the solar battery. The battery is installed inside the housing and charges the current converted by the solar battery. The first and the second lamp are installed to be exposed outside the housing and connected to the battery. The ambient light sensor is installed to be exposed on the housing. The controller controls the on/off of the ambient light sensor and the first and second lamps. |
