FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gold extraction from acid solutions by using high-capacity high-selectivity sorbent based on thiocarbamoilchitosan (TCC) with boding degree of 0.4-0.9 that is pretreated by 0.01-0.1 M-solution of hydrochloric acid for 1-2 h and, then filtered. Gold sorption is performed from acid chloride solutions at pH=1.0-1.5 and with periodic mixing.
