FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 1-alkoxy-1-phenylethanes of formula I where R=CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, n-C5H11, n-C6H13, n-C7H15, n-C8H17, n-C9H19, n-C10H21, which can be used as plasticisers in chlorine-containing polymers, as well as catalyst components in polymerisation and cooligomerisation of olefins. The method involves catalytic interaction of styrene with normal structure alcohols ROH, where R is as indicated above, at 80-120C. The catalyst used is zeolite Beta in H-form. The reaction takes place in molar ratio styrene: alcohol equal to 1:1-3 and catalyst amount of 5-10 wt % in terms of the reaction mixture. ^ EFFECT: method enables to obtain desired products with high output. ^ 1 tbl, 11 ex |
