PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of hematite having the hexagonal pillar shape is provided to control the size, shape and structure of the hematite without adding a surfactant. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an akaganite, a precursor of hematite, comprises a step of reacting a mixed solution containing water, hydrochloric acid, and ferric chloride hydrate. The akaganite is in a rod shape with the length and the diameter capable of varying by the concentration of the hydrochloric acid included in the mixed solution.
