A REFRIGERATOR AND A CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A refrigerator and a method for controlling the same are provided to reduce a time for generating ices by supplying cold water into an ice maker. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator includes an ice making space(26), an ice maker, a dispenser, a water tank, and a flowing valve(33). The ice making space is installed in the ice making space. The dispenser blows-off water. The water tank stores water and is in connection with the dispenser and the ice maker. The flowing valve is in connection with the water tank and selectively or simultaneously supplies water to the ice maker or the dispenser.
