<p>Disclosed are cyclopropyl ester derivatives as represented by the general formula I: wherein: R1 and R2 are each independently H or benzyl; R3 is hydrogen, straight chain or branched alkyl or cycloalkyl; R4 is a cyclopropyl ester moiety as defined herein; R5 is straight chain or branched alkyl or tetrahydrofuranyl; or a stereoisomer, hydrate, solvate, acid salt hydrate, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also disclosed is the use of a compound as defined above for the manufacture of a composition for treating glaucoma, ocular hypertension, or optic neuropathy associated with the eye of a patient.</p> |
