A connector (2) for connecting a first construction member to at least a second construction member in a construction application is disclosed. The connector includes a locating element (4) adapted for selective location at a position along a surface of the first construction member, and at least one fixture (6, 8) connected to the locating element and adapted for securing to a respective second construction member, in use. The fixture (6, 8) is configured so that, in use, the first member is oriented horizontally and the location element is positioned on the first construction member, and an in-use upper surface (16, 17) of the fixture aligns with an in-use upper surface (18) of the element.
