<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe as light as possible, which is optimal for track and field. <P>SOLUTION: A sole 20 for footwear 10 has a toe part 70 made of a substantially inflexible material, a ball part 80 made of a flexible material, and an instep heel part 90 made of a substantially inflexible material. The substantially inflexible material is a carbon fiber in a thermoplastic epoxy resin, and the flexible material is an aramid fiber in a thermoplastic epoxy resin.
