PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS terminal for reducing giving/receiving of small changes when paying for purchased goods. SOLUTION: Cash and the number of service points accumulated in a point card are used at the same time and the number of service points is used for payment of fractions of a total sum of purchased goods so that the number of coins paid as small changes may decrease. A customer display 10 displays as a sub-total frame 11 a total price of the purchased goods and displays as a service point display frame 12 the number of service points available, a plurality of candidates of a method for using service points for fractions of the total sum with a fewer number of coins as small changes are extracted as payment alternatives within the range of the number of service points available and are displayed on the screen as an accounting processing alternative frame 13, and a customer is encouraged to select any one payment alternative from among the plurality of payment alternatives.
