PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker with high safety even if the interior of a pot is pressurized, with a pressure valve and a safety valve clogged, and becomes an abnormal pressure. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a cooker body 2 which has the pot 4 into which a cooked rice is put, a storage case 14 where the pot is stored, a flange 15 where the pot is placed, heating means 5 for heating the pot, and a control section for controlling the cooking; a lid body 3 openably/closably mounted to the cooker body; and the pressure valve which is provided inside the lid body and adjusts the pressure in the interior of the pot; wherein the lid body 3 formed from at least an inner lid 22 and an outer lid 21, and the outer lid 21 has a suspension wall 38 suspending outward the flange 15, at its circumferential edge. Therefore, when a packing 36 bursts open at abnormal cooking to jet out high-pressure steam from between the pot 4 and the lid body 3, the steam is jet out only downward.
