PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine securing satisfactory control accuracy and responsiveness, and stability of a control system when mutual interference occurs between a plurality of control inputs and a plurality of control variables in the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In the control device 1 of the internal combustion engine 3, a target EGR rate Giegrcmd is calculated based on demand torque Pmcmd and an intake rate Gcyl is controlled by using the same. Further, a basic opening degree THmap is calculated based on the demand torque Pmcmd and a target intake pressure PBcmd is calculated based on the demand torque Pmcmd. By using a predetermined follow-up control method and a non-interacting control method, intake pressure PB is followed to the target intake pressure PBcmd, a non-interacting compensation value THdc is calculated not to interfere with the intake rate Gcyl, a target throttle valve opening degree THcmd is calculated by adding the non-interacting compensation value to the basic opening degree THmap, and the intake pressure PB is controlled by using the target throttle valve opening degree THcmd.
