PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell image analyzer capable of accurately detecting the boundary of a cell on an image of a plurality of cell groups, especially an image of cell groups having different brightness without using complicate operation and setting. SOLUTION: The cell image analyzer includes a computer to detect the boundary of the cell by using a fluorescent cell image. The analyzer is provided with an image analyzing software to function the computer as a region classifying means 1a to classify the region of the fluorescent cell image at least as a cell region or a background region and other regions by using a specific threshold value; a signal variation calculating means 1b to calculate a preset signal variation corresponding to the change of position in a preset local region ranging between both of the cell region or the background region and other regions; and a boundary candidate region detecting means 1c to automatically detect a region having the same variation tendency of a preset signal variation in the preset local region as the boundary candidate region.
