The vibration damper has a container with a container pipe (3) and a container base, and a lug for receiving a bearing. The lug is provided at the container base. The container pipe is connected with the bearing lug (10) by a mold piece (11). The mold piece forms the container base at a side and forms a counter contour at an opposite side, where the counter contour is attached to the bearing lug.
