The delivery system consists of one or more compartments, said one or each compartment comprising a core and a membrane encasing the core, said core and membrane essentially consisting of a same or different polymer composition, wherein at least one compartment comprises drospirenone or a mixture of drospirenone and an estrogen.</p>
